Beyond parade education, this is a preparatory course that initiates dancers for the reality of the style in Historical Black College University (HBCU) band dance/ majorette. This style is exhibited on a collegiate level by some of the most world renowned dance lines throughout history.

Usually alongside quite powerful music the student is shown how to story tell through their movement in accordance to the music. Students will learn across-the-floor progressions and various terminology with proper movement to ease them into the genre.
Accompanied by high-energy music and movement, students learn the importance of sound expression. All beginning with the student learning basic drills, motions, and techniques to properly compliment their overall performance.
Including, but not limited to the safe use of hoops, canes, chairs, balls, and so on. This class is fun in nature, allowing the student to have dual focus. offers the promotion of direction and uniformity through the use of various props.
In practice making improvement this class allows students to dive into that statement. Sharing a focus of technical skills and overall dance abilities on toe pointing, leaps, turns, alignment, balance, and form.
On all levels, students are able to take advantage of the space with the support of proper materials and instruction. This process of trust and assessment is to gain new skills of gymnastic-style movements such as rolls, back handsprings, back tuck, etc.
